Cookies policy
The cookies and browser storage we use to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, measure usage, and provide support — and how to control them.
Last updated: July 4, 2026
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. We also use similar browser technologies such as localStorage and IndexedDB. This policy covers both, across our website (buzzypod.com) and the BuzzyPod app (app.buzzypod.com).
2. How we use them
We use cookies and browser storage strictly to run the product: keeping you signed in, remembering your preferences, measuring how the app is used, providing support chat, and protecting the platform from abuse. We do not use advertising or marketing cookies.
3. Cookies and storage we use
Essential
Firebase Authentication stores your session in your browser so you stay signed in between visits. Google reCAPTCHA (used by Firebase App Check) sets cookies to distinguish people from bots and protect our backend. The app cannot function without these.
Preferences
Your theme, active team, and sidebar state are stored in a cookie and localStorage on your device so the app looks the way you left it. These values stay in your browser.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics for Firebase, which sets cookies (such as “_ga”) to help us understand how the app is used and which features matter, so we can improve the product.
Support
Our support chat is provided by Chatwoot, which stores a session identifier so your conversation history persists between visits.
Payments
Checkout and billing happen on Stripe-hosted pages, where Stripe sets its own cookies for security and fraud prevention.
4. Third-party cookies
The third parties above — Google, Chatwoot, and Stripe — set their own cookies when you use the relevant features, governed by their own privacy policies. We do not allow third-party advertising cookies on BuzzyPod.
5. Managing cookies
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Note that blocking essential storage will sign you out and can prevent core features, such as signing a release agreement, from working.
6. Updates to this policy
We may update this Cookies Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page along with the date above.
